Overview As a Mechanical R&D Engineer, you design and validate electrical systems and project-based solutions. You apply advanced modeling to optimize welded, bolted, and riveted joints, aiming for high reliability within railway norms. You'll drive technological innovation and maintain a robust design database. You work across mechanical and electrical domains to ensure top-tier product quality. Retribuzione / Benefits flat hierarchies direct communication quick decisions strong collaboration growth opportunities trust with real responsibility Responsabilità Design and build electrical system/products and project-based solutions Conduct finite element analyses to optimize design, especially joints, fatigue, and safety factors per railway norms Drive technology innovations and ensure high product reliability Maintain and update design database to trace and reproduce correct apparatuses Maintain high technological standard in mechanical and electrical products Validate all mechanical and electrical designs for the group Requisiti fondamentali ~ Master in Mechanical Engineering with FE simulation experience ~ Electrical AC/DC knowledge strongly preferred ~ Development or technical design experience on mechanical or electro-mechanical devices is a plus ~ Minimum 5 years of industrial experience ~ Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, etc.) ~ Railway rolling stock industry knowledge and international standards is a plus ~ Experience with MSC.
Nastran/Apex/Patran is advantageous ~ Experience with welded joint and fatigue analysis is advantageous ~ English fluency for written client reports; French beneficial ~ Finite element analysis (FEA) ~3D CAD modelling (SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, Creo) ~ MSC Nastran ~ Apex ~ Patran ~ Welding/fatigue analysis
