Job Summary: We are seeking an Application Engineer who will be a part of the local technical team. The candidate will provide consulting services, dedicated to Aerospace projects, support customers on Simulation Altair products and help them implement new methodologies. Coordination with different and international teams is a strong differentiator for the project success. The candidate will communicate directly with the customer, in accordance with the leadership of the Account Manager. This role is primarily on site at the customer location. What You Will Do:

  • Execute consulting Services projects end-to-end, with close support from Technical Specialists.
  • Help the customer implement their processes using the Altair portfolio.
  • Expertly guide the customer in creating new and updated methodologies for Simulation and Product Development.
  • Manage customer expectations to ensure maximum satisfaction with Altair’s products and services and help customer to get value from their data.
  • Liaise between customers and software development team to drive new feature requests into future product releases.
  • Define and discuss technical requirements with the customer and the team (both internal and external ALIT), coordinate activities with the customer respecting timeline and due dates.
  • Learn and understand customer product development processes.
  • Helping customer to migrate on new technologies.
  • Create necessary documentation for new customer employee onboarding with Altair products and Altair-Customer processes.
  • Interact with AM and TAM for new possible implementation and estimate the proper effort.
  • Assist marketing with technical white papers, application notes, conference/journal proceedings, product positioning presentations, and webinars.
  • Seek new business opportunities with pre-sale demo or meetings.
What You Will Need: Basics:
  • Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering
  • 2-3 years of FEA and Simulation minimum.
  • Experience with Aerospace product development.
  • Knowledge of Altair Simulation products
  • Ability to collaborate and share information with all levels of technical users and management
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Attitude for solving engineering problems
  • Good communication skills (Oral and Written) in Italian and English
  • Good team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • This open position is in Italy with extended assignments at customer sites and willingness to travel.
