Arjun Bavalia shares his journey of transforming his hobby of sketching and passion for vehicles into professional skills in automotive design by pursuing an M.S in Transportation design from IAAD Turin, Italy with Shyam Krishnamurthy from The Interview Portal.

Arjun's childhood fascination with vehicles, exposure to army vehicles, and supportive parents ignited his interest in transportation design which led him to pursue B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat University.

Transition into Design:

After working in the Energy sector as an executive engineer, Arjun decided to switch to a career in design. He successfully cracked CEED 2014 and TAD 2014, gaining the confidence to make the career shift.

Challenges and Breakthrough:

Design poses constant challenges that require flexibility and adaptability. Arjun secured his first break in Nov 2020, joining a startup involved in the manufacturing of Electric Scooters.

Current Role:

Arjun is currently working as a deputy manager in the mechanical department, responsible for plant design and material procurement. Despite his engineering role, design remains his true passion, and he aims to transition back into the design field.

Impact on Society:

Through his work in the water contamination/treatment industry, Arjun contributes to developing solutions that benefit the environment.

Memorable Project:

Leading a project from idea to implementation in the Energy sector was a significant milestone in Arjun's career, showcasing his ability to handle diverse tasks efficiently.

Advice to Students:

Embrace challenges, stay flexible, and step out of your comfort zone to pursue your passion.

Future Plans:

Arjun's future plans are open to opportunities, considering the dynamic nature of the current scenario.
