Contracts will be based in FAO's Land and Water Division (NSL) at headquarters in Rome, Italy. This call aims to establish a roster of qualified candidates to support NSL in communicating FAO's work on land, water, soil, and geospatial issues.

Reporting Lines
The Consultant/PSA will report to the Knowledge Management Officer in the FAO Land and Water Division.

Technical Focus
The consultant/PSA will assist teams in planning, designing, and implementing communications and outreach for projects and services related to FAO's work in the Land and Water Division.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Knowledge Management Officer, the incumbent will:
- Support the preparation and dissemination of knowledge materials
- Assist in promoting NSL publications and events
- Showcase FAO's program results internally and externally
- Aid in drafting various types of knowledge products
- Maintain websites and databases
- Support event organization and knowledge sharing activities
- Prepare reports on campaign outcomes
- Perform other duties as required.

Candidates will be assessed against the following
Minimum Requirements
- University degree or related technical certification in communication, journalism, political science, or a related field
- Relevant experience in knowledge management or communication
- Working knowledge of English and at least one other FAO language

Selection Criteria
- Experience in information management, outreach, publishing, and communication
- Experience in developing and implementing communication and outreach campaigns
- Ability to operate effectively in a team and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of Content Management System Sitefinity is an asset
- Understanding of FAO policies and programs is an asset
