Job descriptionAs the QHSE Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our client's operations within the ship dry bulk sector

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) aspects of the fleet's bulk cargo operationsDevelop and maintain safety management systems to ensure compliance with international regulations and company policiesImplement and monitor safety procedures, risk assessments, and corrective actionsConduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvementProvide guidance and training to crew members on safety practices and proceduresInvestigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend preventive measuresCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvementStay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance

Job Requirements:

Sailed as Chief Mate or Master onboard a Bulk Carrier or similarExperience working as a Marine or Safety Superintendent in the shipping industryStrong understanding of ship dry bulk operations and relevant regulationsExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure environmentsLiving in, or willing to relocate to, ItalyRight to live and work in the EUWillingness to travel as required by the roleIf you are a dedicated professional with a strong background in ship dry bulk operations and a passion for ensuring safety and compliance, then we want to hear from you.
