Location:

This job requires the Candidate to be a current Wisconsin resident with no option for relocation. The position offers complete remote work within the State of Wisconsin, with occasional travel to DOC Central Office (1 – 2 times per quarter).

Description:

Our client, the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC), seeks an Application Architect to oversee ITIL initiatives. This role involves guiding the Collaboration and Project Management and Infrastructure teams in designing ITIL systems focused on service, change, configuration, and asset management. As part of the application development team, the Architect will troubleshoot issues for effective ITIL solutions and work closely with DOC user groups to ensure system efficiency. Collaboration with the Secretary's Office staff for legal software development is also crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior managers to identify business-specific application needs.
  • Develop and execute application development plans.
  • Present application prototypes, incorporate user feedback, and perform necessary coding.
  • Offer technical support to end-users and conduct diagnostic tests.
  • Handle application maintenance, upgrades, and integration.
  • Document development processes and adhere to agency standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to adapt and configure cloud-based or on-premises business solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Collaborative communication with both technical and non-technical professionals.
Skills and Experience Needed:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an application architect.
  • Minimum of 2 years aligning application development with business requirements.
