Job Description

As a Hui Holokai Ambassador you are responsible to provide warm, engaging and authentically local beach and water activities or adventures to all guests who utilize the facilities at the Beach to support the recreation department in all aspects of "Turning Moments into Memories".

Lead cultural arts and crafts classes, Coconut frond weaving, tide pool tours, lei making, and other culturally sound activities.

Perform First Aid and CPR duties should a situation arisePick up and remove used towels and debris from the beach and pool deck areas throughout the day.

Provide unique experiences to all of our guests through warm, personal & detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast paced environment.

Ensure a positive first impression of the beach & pool for our guests through detailed cleanliness, set-up and ambiance control.

Maintain complete knowledge of all wellness & recreation services, activities, amenities and hotel services/featuresUp-sell and promote wellness & recreation offers at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue.

Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned and set the beach & pool according to standards and proceduresBe well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency proceduresMaintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all timesPerform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel Qualifications Your experience and skills include:
Ability to share Hawaiian culture, stories and lifestyle with guests in an engaging mannerAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesGood reading, writing and oral proficiency in English languageAbility to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage ('Olelo Hawai'i)


Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a teamDetailed & service oriented with an eye for detail to be self-motivated and energetic.

Excellent water abilities, able to effectively execute water rescues and support safetyAbility to steer a Hawaiian Outrigger 4 or 6 man canoe at expert levels for up to 2 hours at a time, demonstrate and teach paddlingAbility to surf and execute surfing lessons for up to 1 hour at a timeProvide the necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Recreation (Tuberculosis Clearance)Additional certification(s) in Recreation will be an advantage (Water Rescue, First Aid, CPR, AED) Additional Information Hourly Rate:
$26.30 USD
