We are looking for a Good Receiver to join our team here at Zuma.

Our Good receiver needs to be precise, passionate and hands on, supporting the chefs to check deliveries, quality of the food, quantities and keeping track of it.

Job overview

• To receive and check all deliveries for the restaurant ensuring the quality and quantity is to Zuma standards
• To correctly store all goods received within the restaurant

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To ensure Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times
• To ensure all goods are received in accordance with the market lists prepared by the chefs in a timely manner
• Communicate with supervisors on any discrepancies relating to weight, cost, quantity and quality of the received goods
• To ensure all goods are correctly stored and labelled in the appropriate allocated space allowed for and that stock is rotate
• To carry out daily checks to ensure storage areas are maintained to a high level of hygiene
• To ensure correct handling of raw products
• To ensure kitchen and food preparation areas are clean and hygienic at all times
• To ensure the kitchen stations are stocked with supplies of nonfood items as required
• To assist in the training of new employees ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum efficiency
• To ensure correct handling and basic maintenance is carried for all machinery and tools in the kitchen
• To promote a positive impression of Zuma by remaining professional when dealing with any outside persons
• To adhere to your job duties, give to you by the Head Chef and Sous Chef
• To ensure all invoices and/or delivery notes are correctly stored
• To insert invoices
• To carry out manual handling as required
• Stock take at the end of the week
• Checking the reconciliation
