Test Automation Developer

Job Description

We are looking for the developer and maintainer for the test automation of various core components of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.

The candidate needs to have an insight into how various components of Linux work as well as have a knowledge of networking to be able to debug connectivity issues.

Location: Czech Republic, Bulgaria... (remote work possible)

Position Type Full-Time/Regular

  • Test development for the Open Source automation framework - openQA
  • Testing Networking and other core functionality

  • Reviewing test results and reporting identified issues
  • Scaling of innovative process and test automation
  • Handling related documentation tasks
  • Process enhancement
  • Contributing to the community distribution

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Good understanding of the Linux operating system and networking
  • Experience with Cloud technologies is advantageous
  • Interest in the automation field (experience is valued)
  • Commitment to testing and automation improvement and innovation
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Involvement in Open Source projects is a bonus
  • Analytical mindset

  • Able to work independently and in teams

  • Willingness to occasionally travel internationally
