E-mobility Cloud Platform Engineering Manager

As Cloud Platform Engineering Manager, you are responsible for end-to-end leadership of one MS Azure cloud technology tenant which is used for the state-of-the-art EV charging technologies.

You will be part of the Cloud Platform Operations team. Your team members are based in different parts of the world, bringing a diverse set of cultures and skills. The team has a drive for innovation; focusing on the improvement of our cutting edge solutions. Will you answer the call to be the heart and soul of our daily improvements?

Your responsibilities

:

  • Possess a broad technical understanding of cloud platform capabilities and intuitively understand/anticipate how each may benefit the broader product portfolio, provide leadership and direction for the cloud platform and underlying technologies, and manage usage of cloud platform across portfolio.
  • Coordinate cloud platform roadmap with key stakeholders, including Digital Solutions Delivery Teams, Digital and IT Enterprise Architecture, Service, to create and deliver best of breed capabilities and value to product team, provide guidance about the vision, features, capabilities and overall priorities specific to cloud platform
  • Maintain broad awareness of/engagement in industry and critical vendor/supplier plans and roadmaps to anticipate landscape changes that may affect the cloud platform and products using the cloud platform, partner with vendors (internal and external) to understand future technical capabilities offered and technical currency considerations to develop multiyear cloud technical roadmaps
  • Responsible for ensuring overall cloud platform performance against KPIs (ex. availability, security, cost of operations, usage/adoption, forecasts). Setting up SLA/SLI/SLO where missing, responsible for ensuring overall cloud platform operations and incident command center and for ensuring overall cloud platform monitoring and data reporting to management.
  • Lead delivery of internal community of practice, training and knowledge transfer for key cloud platform features, work with product managers or IT Managers and delivery teams and to understand their product needs and how they translate to Cloud platform, platform technologies, and platform integration/workflow
  • Understand cloud platform/cloud industry trends and how platform direction may influence how business capabilities are realized using the cloud platform, identifies common technical cloud platform capabilities that can be used across multiple products and prioritizes those that would provide maximum value to the product delivery and engineering teams
  • Work with Enterprise Architects and broader leadership team to understand and plan cloud platform capabilities in the context of the broader technology portfolio strategy and to minimize redundant capabilities across platform offerings, responsible for managing the full lifecycle of the cloud platform including integration with all other platforms to deliver end to end functional and nonfunctional requirements
  • Responsible for managing cloud platform demand/resourcing needs in partnership with leadership team, accountable for cloud platform licensing/usage needs and demonstrates behavior that (positively) contributes in a way towards a common goal; puts organizational interests above team interests and team interests above individual interests, inspires others to change behaviors to align with objectives, priorities and culture by demonstrating example behavior.
  • Lead a global team of experienced engineers not colocated by providing them with direction and guidance on their path to success, assure appropriate staffing levels, skills and competences to deliver a best in class cloud platform

Your background

:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electronic, Computer, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent skill level with at least 5 years of relevant work experience and fluent English knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cloud services as a platform offering for product delivery; understanding of cloud platform capabilities and intuitively understands/anticipates how each may benefit the broader product portfolio
  • Experience with Azure is a must, experience with other cloud provider platforms is a nice to have, demonstrated experience in a successful product/platform owner or equivalent role, able to deal with incidents and outages in the infrastructure
  • Demonstrates behavior that (positively) contributes in a way towards a commo
