We are looking for a Performance Controller who acts as a Business Partner for our growing business mainly in Italy and as a back-up support in Spain.

Our 60 motivated and focused Controllers at RWE Renewables are working in 11 countries across Europe and Australia providing financial services for more than 250 operational assets as well as numerous projects under development and construction.

Your tasks:

  • Supporting the Onshore, Solar and Storage business in Italy and as a backup support in Spain during the development and construction phase by
  • Setting up, interpreting and analysing steering relevant financial and operational KPIs and presenting the results in a suitable way to the management
  • Taking the responsibility for business planning and forecasting including deviation analyses and the preparation of a comprehensive storyline towards the stakeholder
  • Regularly reporting the operational business performance and conducting adhoc analyses
  • Acting as a financial business partner to support and challenge the business, identify best in class solutions and trends to safeguard the success of our growth ambitions.
  • Maintaining and strengthening good working relationships with internal counterparties within Renewables and the wider RWE group (operational teams, accounting, tax, legal, finance)
  • Developing and continuously improving planning and controlling tools especially with a focus on automisation and digitalisation

Your profile:

  • Excellent university degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
  • At least 35 years of experience in a controlling / subsidiary management / finance area
  • A profound knowledge and understanding about the European energy market and related regulations, especially in Italy is desirable
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and present it in a clear and logical format
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills to establish and foster effective working relationships in a crosscultural environment
  • Highly reliable and flexible teamplayer with a good selforganisation and a strong commitment
  • Good skills in SAP (FI/CO/BI) and MS Office
  • Familiarity with IFRS and Italian GAAP; Spanish GAAP is a plus
  • Fluent in Italian and English, Spanish is a plus.
