Gowan has an opportunity for an entry-level Analytical Technician within the Residue Analysis /Metabolism& Environmental Fate Departments of the Research Centre located in Novara.

This will be a fixed-term contract role.

Role:

  • The Chemical Analyst will prepare the lab samples and execute the extraction and cleanup steps for the analysis of active ingredients and metabolites, also by using radioisotopes as labelled tracers.

Qualifications:

  • Required high school diploma/bachelor's degree in Chemistry or equivalent
  • Excellent attention to details and good organizational skills
  • Good critical thinking skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to follow instructions and procedures
  • Ability to independently work
  • Experience in GLP analysis is a plus
  • Good knowledge of English

Responsibilities:

  • Sample grinding, mincing, preparation and glassware care
  • Execution of procedural analytical steps in different matrices such as crop, soil and water
