Sub Section Manager – System Design Technologies

In this role he/she will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning , and contribute to the overall business strategy.
The System Design Technology (SDT)Sub-Section collaborate with the global ATO organization coordinating technology & roadmap maturation and supporting field investigations and new program introduction on the following technical areas:
o Whole Engine Vibration & Dynamicso Gearbox System Dynamicso Aeromechanicso Stress Methods for Systems analysiso Engine Systems clearance assessmento Advanced Mechanical Diagnostic The SDT Sub Section Manager will be accountable to execute activities associated with the above scope, achieving program requirements (supported by appropriate program leader and relevant CTH's), within the allocated budget also interfacing the Systems organization where applicable.
Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and technical direction for assigned program tasks and personnelProvide support and recommendations to section managementEstablish work group goals within framework of section technical and financial objectivesMaintain broad awareness of efforts within group to assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needsFacilitate communication of technical and business information between organizations and within work groupCommunicate with management on technical, organizational, resource and personnel issuesDefine roles and responsibilities for assigned personnelConduct performance appraisals and participate in salary planningPromote professional growth through proper mentorship and training assignment, timely performance feedback, coaching and counselingEnsure company compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented within work groupFoster an inclusive and Psychologically safe environment to identify and grow resources.
Qualifications/RequirementsMaster's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Materials or Aerospace Engineering preferredSignificant and relevant experience in System Dynamics, Aeromechanics and Stress Methods.
Ability to work successfully in team environmentExcellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at a variety of levels, from detailed design reviews to high-level leadership reviewsDemonstrated proficiency in written, oral, and presentation skillsFluency in Italian and EnglishWork Visa, according to local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsPassion for technical excellence and technology advancementAble to self-manage workload across a number of designsSelf–directed and motivatedDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsAbility to document, plan, market, and execute programsWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
