We set the bar high, aiming for nothing less than greatness, and your role will be instrumental in achieving that.

You'll take full ownership of your room, taking learning outcomes and transforming them into inspiring classroom experiences for the children to thrive.

As Third in Charge, you'll hold responsibility for the whole nursery when the Manager and Deputy Manager are absent, the perfect opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and influence the rest of the nursery team.

On these occasions you'll also be the go to for any safeguarding concerns or queries, and you'll need a presence across all rooms.

You'll be a team player ensuring that you and your team meet the unique needs of each child, leading your room team to plan, organise and execute engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards for child learning and development.

You'll ensure the educators in your classroom take ownership of observing and assessing their key children, and you'll support them in setting goals for each child.

But it's not just about the children - you'll be a role model for excellence, accountable for your team following standards and driving the growth, development and progression of your team.

You'll be an integral part of setting the stage for curiosity and exploration, utilising both indoor and outdoor spaces.

With a hands-on approach and with great attention to detail, you'll deliver exceptional experiences throughout the children's learning journeys within our nursery.

An ability to effectively communicate with parents, children and colleagues will set you apart and aid us in delivering the best experience possible, especially the parents of your key children.

What we're looking forFor the Nursery Room Leader and Third in Charge role, it is essential that you hold a relevant childcare qualification, level 3 minimum.

Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English including functional skills are also a must if you obtained your Level 3 qualification after 2014.
