Cook I - Full Time, Seasonal (ending Oct. 31st) Every memorable dining experience at the Fairmont Waterfront begins behind the scenes with our Culinary team's commitment to exceptional cuisine.

As Cook I, the care you devote to all aspects of food preparation will result in the creation of the finest meals.


What you will be doing:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow ColleaguesPrepare and service all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standardsActively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefingsMaintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilageEnsure storeroom requisitions are accurateHave full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotionsEnsure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipmentFollow kitchen policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage Qualifications

Your skills and experience include:
Previous experience in the Culinary field requiredJourney personspapers or international equivalent an assetDiploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline an assetStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Additional Information
