Painting Inspector to join its office in Palermo, Italy
within the Marine Consulting Division.


Mission:

A painting supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating painting projects within a company or construction site.

They ensure that painting tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and according to the specifications and quality standards set by the organization.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Project Planning: In collaboration with project managers or clients, understand project requirements, timelines, and budget constraints. Develop a detailed plan for executing painting projects, encompassing resource allocation, equipment needs, and material procurement.
  • Team Supervision: Direct and supervise a team of painters, ensuring they receive clear instructions, tools, and resources for effective task completion. Assign responsibilities, offer training and guidance, and monitor painting personnel performance.
  • Quality Control: Ensure painting work meets established quality standards, specifications, and industry best practices. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify defects, deviations, or areas needing improvement, taking appropriate measures to resolve issues.
  • Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols and regulations for a secure painting team working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings, provide necessary safety equipment, and promptly address safety concerns or incidents.

Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of painting materials, tools, and equipment.

  • Communication and Reporting: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams. Provide regular progress updates, promptly address concerns or issues, and prepare accurate reports on project status, expenses, and other relevant metrics.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and environmental standards concerning painting activities. Stay informed about local codes and requirements, ensuring the team follows necessary protocols.
  • Customer Service: Cultivate positive client relationships and ensure satisfaction. Address client inquiries or concerns, offer paint selection advice, and strive to exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • FROSIO or NACE Level III
  • Experience: Previous supervisory or managerial experience in the painting industry is typically required, such as lead painter or foreman roles, demonstrating effective project management skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership abilities are crucial to motivate and guide teams, with strong communication, delegation, and decisionmaking skills for successful project management.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with painting tools, equipment, and safety protocols is important, ensuring safe and efficient work environments through machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Quality Control: Attention to detail and commitment to highquality work are key, including understanding quality standards, conducting inspections, and addressing any deviations.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures is critical for team wellbeing and compliance, with experience in creating and enforcing safety protocols highly valued.
  • Organization and Planning: Strong organizational skills are necessary for effective project management, including resource allocation, scheduling, and task prioritization to meet project goals.
  • Problemsolving: Ability to identify and address challenges during projects, including technical issues, conflicts, and adapting to changing requirements.
