Duties:

  • Serve as Executive Secretary to the Commander of the 207th Military Intelligence Brigade, providing a full range of secretarial and administrative support to the Commander and Command Group.
  • Manage the Commander's calendar, resolving conflicts and coordinating schedules.
  • Ensure protocol requirements are met for the frequent and broad base of visitors to the Office of the Commander.
  • Prepare military and nonmilitary correspondence, narrative and tabulated reports, travel documents, personnel actions, and other similar printed materials using automated word processing equipment.
  • Make frequent travel arrangements for the Commander, ensuring that all security, accommodations, and other administrative requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with other support staff throughout the Brigade to ensure that the Commander's policies are carried out, and to ensure efficient workflow of administrative processes.
  • Evaluate and improve the administrative workflow and office procedures of the Command Group, subordinate units and support staffs; Recommending changes to administrative procedures Group where necessary.

Requirements:

Conditions of Employment:

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Required to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 5%.

  • Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration.

  • Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

  • Employees (and their family members) who require medical or dental care in overseas areas may experience severe limitations accessing medical care both on the military installation and the local economy, and also could incur costly medical expenses.
  • If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI and DoDM
  • If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI and DoDM
  • Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a spaceavailable and reimbursable basis only.
