We have an exciting internship opportunity available for you to join our Manufacturing Engineering (MFE) team. You will be involved in various activities aimed at enhancing organizational performance, whether through continuous improvements or project-based initiatives related to ongoing projects or potential new applications: assessing feasibility, overseeing development, and tracking resulting cost savings for internal departments and external labor providers.
Here are some key responsibilities:
- Analyzing and enhancing current assembly and testing standards in terms of cycle time, waste reduction, and equipment efficiency to set goals and monitor progress in the technology field.
- Creating production documents like operating instructions, checklists, and machine programs for assembly and testing purposes.
- Implementing quality-focused production control systems such as vision systems and pick to light technology.
- Supporting product design improvements to meet departmental performance KPIs effectively.
Some potential projects you may be involved in include:
- Developing material transport systems using AGVs.
- Exploring the use of collaborative robots for assembly and testing tasks.
- Introducing additive printing systems for in-house equipment and tool production.
- Enhancing quality controls with vision systems during assembly processes.
- Expanding automated machining capacities.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an engineering degree.
Proficiency in essential IT tools like MS OFFICE is required.
