Responsibilities

  • Manage general accounting activities such as journal entries, withholding taxes, etc.
  • Review and record transactions related to deferred revenue, indirect taxes like Sales Tax and VAT
  • Prepare tax documentation
  • Ensure precise maintenance of VAT registers, general ledger, journal, inventory, fixed assets, and cost and revenue allocation
  • Create adhoc reports for diverse business requirements
  • Compile and assess financial statements
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closing tasks, collaborating with management control and treasury teams
  • Prepare annual financial statements adhering to regulations, including income tax calculations
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow
  • Review the working trial balance to accurately reflect the company's financial position
  • Regularly reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts like prepayments and accruals for data accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee accounts payable functions, ensuring prompt and accurate processing of invoices and payments
  • Supervise and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure correct entries and reflection of balances

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and publications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in comparable roles
  • Thorough understanding of Italian accounting principles and regulations
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal English and Italian
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities
  • Able to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team
