**AI, DATA and SPACE (ADS)** è una delle aree di ricerca di LINKS ed è composta di 25 persone. L'attività dell'area si concentra sulla realizzazione di applicazioni digitali intelligenti volte ad affrontare le sfide industriali e sociali più attuali. Combinando l'uso dell'intelligenza artificiale e dell'intera catena del valore dei dati, ADS progetta e realizza sistemi complessi e servizi digitali che vengono sperimentati nell'ambito di reti di attori locali ed europee. Allo scopo di supportare l'innovazione e la digitalizzazione di prodotti e servizi, nell'area è presente un nucleo di competenze dedicato al Service e UX design, che collabora e coordina gli aspetti di ricerca e progettazione dei sistemi, per garantirne la compatibilità e l'accettabilità da parte dei diversi target di destinazione (es. cittadini, imprese, amministrazioni pubbliche).
- collaborazione nell'attività di User Research e Definizione Requisiti utente. L'attività prevede la costruzione di strumenti di raccolta e analisi qualitativa-quantitativa (es. interviste, questionari, osservazioni);
- ideazione di soluzioni digitali (servizi e touchpoint), definizione di modelli concettuali, scenari anche con l'uso di strumenti di visual thinking (service blueprint, customer journey, personas, stakeholders map);
- interaction design e GUI Design. L'attività include inoltre la redazione dei rapporti tecnici necessari alla descrizione dei processi e dei risultati raggiunti e un percorso di crescita professionale finalizzato a creare una base di conoscenza utile a innescare percorsi di trasferimento sia interno, verso i colleghi, sia esterno con la divulgazione verso i beneficiari dei progetti
