Job Description Summary:

At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years.

We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

In this role you will be responsible to provide Digital Solutions for the Avio Aero Engineering team. You'll be part of the Digital Technology team, acting as a Technical Product Analyst for engineering software.

In particular, you'll be implementing new projects for CAD/PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems and you will be responsible to define CAD/PLM best practices and methodologies.


You'll partner with stakeholders across all the Avio Aero's sites in Italy, Poland and Czech Republic but also in the other European facilities of GE Aviation.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Support Product lifecycle and obsolescence management and contribute to the development of business cases for investments in technologies and software products in your domain
  • Participate actively in planning research and development activities
  • Elaborate and map business requirements into functional and technical solutions
  • Work closely with implementation teams to drive developments on CAD/PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) platforms
  • Interact with international, crossbusiness and crossfunctional Agile teams to deliver global solutions for the Engineering teams
  • Establish strong relationships with DT counterparts across the org, Europe and US based

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline is required
  • Fluent in Italian and English language
  • Eligible to be securitycleared under Italian National Security Framework
  • NOS (art. 9, comma 4 Legge 3 agosto 2007, n. 124)
  • Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Systems and Product Lifecycle Management Platforms.
  • Comfortable in uncertainty, able to deliver when guidelines are blurry
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in geographically sparse crossfunctional teams
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics**- Basic knowledge of PLM technologies/solutions

  • Basic knowledge on 3D modeling of mechanical components Siemens, PTC or other vendor's software
  • Able to ensure group understanding of issues and to present rationale to affect outcomes
  • Able to use relevant and appropriate presentation techniques and to respond to questions and to dissent in a constructive manner
