Geological mapping in the open pit and part of the underground mine
Job description:
Summer work for student consisting of geological field mapping, and sampling with hand-held diamond drill, in the open pit and part of the underground mine/tunnels.
The work is supervised by the local Stjernøy geologist, but also consist of independent work when the Stjernøy geologist is on holidays.
The objective is to update the geological map of the deposit, with creation of the following documents as the two main aims.
- Development of a rock atlas for the Stjernøy deposit.
- Update of the Stjernøy deposit geological map, with special emphasis on alteration faults, mafic dykes and biotite nepheline syenite
Duration:
Max 3 months in the period June to end of August.
