Join us as an Electrical Supervisor (HVOC) and oversee onsite Electrical construction activities, plant, resources, and subcontractor teams to achieve effective performance from all parties, ensuring the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule and to the specified quality.

Job Description

  • Oversee on-site electrical works and provide regular updates to the Construction Manager.
  • Implement and monitor Safe Systems of Work for electrical aspects of the project.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical specifications and drawings, and review Vendor/Contractor documents.
  • Coordinate onsite work with engineers and subcontractors, and maintain registers of permits and licenses.
  • Conduct site-specific training, contribute to risk assessments, and secure electrical assets.
  • Promote industry best practices and manage changes to ensure workforce awareness and compliance.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Electrical Trades qualification or Cert III in Electrotechnology; High Voltage Switching and Coordination training; Cert IV Training and Assessing (preferable).
  • 10 years Experience in high voltage electrical infrastructure construction, including substations and transmission lines.
  • High Voltage Switching, Coordination, Permitting Systems, Testing, and Network Supply Authority protocols.
  • Regulatory Knowledge of Electrical Safety Acts, Regulations, Codes, and Standards.
  • Competency in MS Office; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks; attention to detail; positive attitude.
  • Current Driver's License; flexibility to travel and work a 10:4 roster; team player and clear communicator.
