Here at The Exploration Company we are developing the next generation of European High Thrust Engine.

We want you as a talented CAD Design Technician to help us in our mission by supporting our Development Engineers on designing Engine subsystems and components.

You will be successful in this role if you are able to help us:
Build the CAD physical model of Engine sub-systemsMaturate the CAD models by adjusting the architecture, and accommodation based on system trades and components feedbackDefine the volume allocations and clearances specifications towards the engine subsystemsPrepare CAD models and drawings for preparing manufacturing Key Responsibilities
In your capacity as CAD Design Technician, you will have the following responsibilities:
Contributing to the choices in terms of overall architecture, equipment accommodation, and main materialsCollaborating closely with thermal and structural analysts, materials, and manufacturing engineers to ensure compliance of the physical architecture with the spacecraft architecture, the system environments, and manufacturing constraintsEnsuring the configuration management of the CAD models Managing the mass budget aided by the CAD model, and tracked in the overall system databaseContributing to co-engineering sessions with the engine subsystems development team by sharing guidelines or orders of magnitude in order to converge on the feasibility of a solution, based on engineering feeling or a simplified analytical approachContributing to the improvement of CAD tools and processes What we would love to see from you
In the role of CAD Design Technician ideally, you will have the following:

Bachelor degree in CAD design Advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering would be appreciatedMinimum of 3 years of experience working in aerospace CAD designExperience with CAD software (NX, CATIA, Solidworks...)Strong knowledge of rocket engine combustion device design or equivalent is an assetExperience in Additive Manufacturing is an assetFluent in English.

Italian is an asset
