We are looking for passionate professors who give their students hope for the future and can help them grow and be better than their previous best.
Indicative module content
- Introduction to algorithms: definitions, complexity analysis, and design techniques
- Sorting algorithms: insertion sort, selection sort, merge sort, quicksort, heap sort
- Searching algorithms: linear search, binary search, interpolation search, hashing
- Data structures: arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, heaps, graphs
- Algorithm design techniques: divideandconquer, dynamic programming, greedy algorithms
- Graph algorithms: breadthfirst search, depthfirst search, shortest path algorithms, minimum, spanning trees
Qualifications Requested
- A relevant master's degree or Phd qualification (eg: Statistics, Mathematics, or another related field from an accredited, stateapproved programme).
Resident in Italy
- Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA).
- Immaculate police check(s).
- Fluent English: reading, speaking, writing (Common European Framework of Reference
- CEFR level C1-C2).
Contract Duration
2nd term (January-July 2025)
36h of teaching + assessment and other academic related activities
Experience
- A minimum of two years of recent and relevant experience in a university environment.
- Evaluate and provide regular feedback on students' exercises, projects and examinations.
- Specialist skills & knowledge.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver innovative inquirybased lessons that engage students and address their diverse learning needs.
- Demonstrated ability to use digital tools and resources effectively to enhance learning.
- Planning and organisational skills.
