In collaboration with the Program Leader in the Fashion Design area, the instructor is responsible for preparing and delivering lessons and all teaching activities related to the Fashion Design course, ensuring the expected quality standards of Istituto Marangoni.

The role involves supporting students in reaching their educational goals and notifying the Program Leader of any challenges in students' learning or educational journey.

The instructor also develops teaching materials for the Fashion Design course as requested by the Program Leader and Istituto Marangoni.

Key Objectives of the Position

1. Teaching Responsibilities

  • Conduct teaching tasks specified by the assignment (lectures, exams, workshops, seminars) while upholding Istituto Marangoni's quality standards.
  • Plan and execute educational activities using an effective approach to help students achieve their educational objectives per the program's scheme of work.
  • Work closely with the Program Leader to enhance the students' learning journey.
  • Collaborate with the Faculty to create a dynamic and cutting-edge learning environment.

2. Student Engagement

  • Organize teaching activities in classrooms or labs to support students' progress.
  • Identify and report any critical situations to the Program Leader.

Professional Qualifications and Background

  • Fashion Designer specializing in womenswear and/or menswear for the luxury sector.
  • Creative, inspiring, and future-focused with a knack for staying updated on trends and innovations to guide students in their collections and projects.
  • Skills in fashion design, research methods, trend prediction, material manipulation, garment construction, portfolio development, and presentation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury accessories.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • A degree in fashion or luxury industry is advantageous.
