RINA is looking for a Junior Offshore Geotechnics Engineer to join their office in Milan, Genoa, Rome or Fano (Italy) within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.

Mission:


RINA Consulting is seeking a motivated geotechnical engineer to join their Geotechnics team in Genoa, Milan, Rome or Fano. The ideal candidate will be organized, detailed-oriented, and responsible for technical duties, capable of working autonomously and under supervision, executing projects within the division and coordinating with peers.

You will be involved in challenging offshore and onshore projects, providing consultancy and designing foundations. Working as a global team, you are expected to deliver exceptional results in a dynamic business environment.

Main Activities:

  • Geotechnical characterization, including interpretation of in-situ testing and lab test programs/results
  • Onshore and offshore geotechnical assessments (seismic issues, slope stability, foundation design)
  • Offshore work on geotechnical vessels for surveys (4 to 6 weeks)

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Geotechnics with a focus on soil mechanics or lab testing
  • Willingness to travel worldwide for short-mid-term assignments and work offshore
  • 2-3 years of experience in geotechnical fields is advantageous
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software and programming languages is a plus
  • Experience in offshore geotechnics is beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Master's Degree in Engineering General or Geotechnical Engineering
