Job Title: Senior Accountant Department: Finance & Administration Location: Milan, Italy Position Overview Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level in the renewable energy transition? As Senior Accountant at Enerland Italia , you will play a key role in managing the company’s accounting operations while contributing to the growth of a fast-expanding renewable energy business in Italy. You’ll be directly involved in internalizing the accounting activities currently handled externally and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting under Italian GAAP (OIC) and group standards. Main Responsibilities Record/ register and process accounting entries related to vendor invoices, payments, receipts, and other transactions, ensuring proper cost allocation by EPC project and business unit. Cost Capitalization recognition in the SPV entities (for projects under development). Maintain and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances and adjustments. Oversee accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and accurate follow-up on outstanding receivables. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash movements across multiple legal entities (Including SPVs). Support the preparation of monthly cash flow reports and contribute to actual cash flow tracking and variance analysis. Collaborate with the Finance Manager in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support business decisions. Participate in the preparation of periodic financial reports and contribute to monthly and year-end closings. Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Ensure compliance with local tax obligations (VAT, withholding taxes, corporate income tax, etc.) and support the implementation of process improvements within the accounting area. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3 - 5 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally within an international or project-based environment. Strong understanding of Italian accounting principles (OIC) and familiarity with IFRS . Solid knowledge of Italian tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel ; experience with Teamsystem , and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be considered a plus. Strong analytical mindset, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, growing environment. Good written and spoken both Italian, and English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
