IXL System Design Engineer for signaling systems will be in charge of:

• Identifying and analyzing the input documentation and Customer requirements;
• Identifying and analyzing the requirements (contractualand technical system requirements);
• defining the functions, the architecture and the interfaces of the signalling system being the transportation standard in Italy and all over Europe
• designing the system and its configuration, developing the relevant documentation;
• interfacing the Customer and the other partners;
• participating to the meetings with other Alstom teams in Italy and worldwide;
• applying processes, methods & tool in accordance to Alstom standards;
• Supporting the deployment of system Generic Application versus Specific Application project teams in charge on project execution
• carrying our design testing of the system until its delivery to the Verification and Validation team;
• supporting laboratory tests and on-site activities;
• contributing in improving the sustainable and innovative transportation standard of the future.

Required skills

• Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably telecommunication, electronics and mobility. Master degree will be a plus
• Graduate or preferably 2 years' experience
• Goal-oriented, problem-solving, team working approach
• Flexibility and Trouble shooting skills
• Basics of networks and communication protocols
• English (minimum B2)
• Interest to learn continuously, to improve technical and behavioral skill in dynamic environment
• Previous experience and backgroung in railway, metro signalling business or in a complex and regulatory asset environment (railway, aerospace, defense ...) would be a plus and a major asset
