JOB OVERVIEW:

The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including direct and indirect tax and transfer price reporting as well as general ledger accounting and statutory reporting. Collaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports, support Finance manager in ensure reliability and accuracy of financial data and any other business according to the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Month-End Closing Process:
    • Analyze P&L and B/S by natural/line of statement.
    • Review and calculate general expenses accruals, intercompany recharge costs, and prepare relevant invoices.
    • Analyze and prepare accruals for customer bonuses, penalties, and returns.
    • Calculate and update income and deferred taxes in the One Source system.
    • Control plan oversight on Financial Solution Center tasks.
    • Develop, maintain, and review regular reports and B/S account reconciliations via the accounting system.
  • Direct and Indirect Tax:
    • Calculate P&L by source, transfer price adjustments, and monitor profitability.
    • Prepare the annual Transfer Price book report, conduct FAS 109 studies, and RTP calculations.
    • Provide support during tax audits.
    • Support VAT and Intrastat controls, and check the SDI platform.
  • Statutory Reporting:
    • Prepare for statutory auditors' meetings and support statutory audits and package preparation.
    • Prepare income and deferred taxes.
  • Other Activities:
    • Manage audit service requests, and prepare and collect SOX requirements.
    • Conduct balance sheet reviews, and self-assessments, and support TE internal audits.
    • Manage the non-SAP re-approval process.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Fluent English
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting or tax-related roles. Experience in multinational/industrial companies or consultancy firms is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of accounting and direct and indirect tax rules and regulations. Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
  • Excellent SAP knowledge (FI and CO modules)
  • Proven, solid Office (in particular Excel) skills and exposure to automated accounting systems
