Material mechanics engineer for green technologies

RINA is currently looking for a Material Mechanics Engineer for Green Technologies to join its team in Rome within the Materials & Technologies Division.

Overview

RINA is involved in cutting-edge energy transition projects that demand advanced technologies and materials, as well as skilled professionals to lead them. A keen interest in metallurgy and corrosion would be a valuable asset for this role.

Location: Castel Romano (Roma)

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Analysis of technical documentation related to assets, mechanical design standards, material specifications, and material testing for hydrogen service suitability
  • Developing a technical approach to achieve project goals
  • Conducting structural, fracture mechanics, and fatigue calculations
  • Coordinating microstructural and fractographic investigations
  • Collaborating with project team members
  • Overseeing laboratory testing in collaboration with engineers
  • Writing technical reports
  • Engaging in technical discussions with clients and presenting results
  • Occasional use of CAD and FEM tools
Requirements

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering.
