Avio Aero Export Control Manager

As the Avio Aero Export Control Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless integration of export control requirements into Avio Aero's day-to-day operations.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with Avio Aero's International Trade Compliance Organization, working in partnership with Legal and Business departments to guarantee full compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the field of International Trade Compliance. Your role will also involve facilitating accurate and timely license applications.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the ITC Leader in identifying critical Export Compliance Risks, preparing comprehensive assessments for the Avio Aero Senior Leadership Team, and coordinating with the national licensing team
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders involved in the licensing processes to streamline license applications, including key internal departments like Program Management, Sourcing, Engineering, and Logistics, as well as national licensing Authorities
- Define areas for enhancing Avio Aero's procedures and instructions to ensure compliance with national export control regulations for military and dual-use operations
- Manage and enhance lean standard work for cross-functional ITC activities integrated with Company processes and KPIs
- Ensure that collaboration tools, databases, and records meet all compliance standards for both tangible and intangible items
- Identify and establish internal audits related to national export control regulation application and actively support external audits, including defining and implementing corrective actions promptly
Qualifications/Requirements
- University Degree in Law, Political Sciences, International Relations, Administrative Law, or related fields
- Proficiency in export control laws and regulations, such as Italian L. 185/90 and Dual Use Regulation 821/2021
- Experience in Compliance related to export control of defense and dual-use products
- Fluent in Italian and English languages
- Previous experience interacting with Italian Ministry of External Affairs (UAMA office in particular) and/or Italian Ministry of Defense
- Familiarity with coordinating working groups across various processes and procedures; Work Visa required as per local regulations
- Eligibility for vetting under the Italian National Security framework for Personal Security Clearances (Capo IV DPCM 6 November 2015, n.5)
