mRNA BU is actively seeking a Chem Team Leader for QC
By becoming a part of the mRNA Quality Control team, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic, results-oriented setting, with a specific focus on supporting the mRNA manufacturing division.
As the Team Leader for the QC Chemical unit in mRNA, you will lead with authority, scientific acumen, compliance adherence, and technical prowess. Your responsibilities will involve coordinating your team's tasks to meet project deadlines, ensuring safety standards are upheld within the QC Laboratories, and overseeing the implementation of method qualifications and validation procedures in compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulations. Additionally, you will engage directly with clients on project-specific matters.
You will assume the role of Team Leader for chemical analysts and technicians in the mRNA QC Lab, overseeing recruitment, training, objective-setting, and performance assessments.
What are we looking for?
- Master's degree in Life Sciences or Chemical/CTF/Biological Engineering.
- Proficiency in various chemical analyses such as HPLC, GC, IR, UV-Vis, and Physical tests, with an emphasis on chromatography and spectrophotometry.
- Competence in developing, transferring, qualifying, and validating analytical methods.
- Proficient in troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with pharmacopeial monographs and international pharmacopoeias (particularly EP/USP) for incoming materials.
- Application of GMP regulations and global guidelines across all job aspects.
- Previous experience in a QC GMP Laboratory including documentation, reporting, and exception handling.
- Proficiency in English and Italian languages (professional level).
- Experience in Gene Therapy/Plasmid DNA/mRNA products - preferred.
- Background in a QC role within the biological, chemical, or pharmaceutical sector (or a blend of advanced education and quality-related experience).

Strong team management abilities: overseeing team operations, recognizing achievements, and identifying training and development needs. Dedication and high motivation are key aspirations.
