Alfa Laval is looking for a member in our new Quality department team, at the Alfa Laval Product Development department in Monza.

About the job

Our vision is to secure that the Quality department is a valued, strong contributor in delivering quality products that exceed customer expectations and, through right competencies in right positions, efficiently organized the total cost of quality is the lowest in the industry.

The purposes of the Quality team are:

  • To lead and support the execution of risk assessments and certifications of new products.
  • To ensure project quality.
  • To challenge, motivate and educate not only to correct deviations that occur but also to prevent the deviations for the future.
  • To lead or to be part in root causes investigations of product failures.
  • Write and manage the documentation of the products.
  • Manage the Product development Test Area for the execution of R&D testing activities, trainings and new product launches.

The Quality in Monza team consist of 4 coworkers, it is part of the product development department which has offices also in Tumba (Sweden) and Shanghai (China).

Main tasks

  • Be chairman of risk assessments carried out accordingly EN 12100, FMEA, HAZOP, or other methods.
  • Support the other functions for the interpretation and implementation of rules and standards. Define the QCP for the products.
  • Develop effective working methods and tools when follow up the results.
  • Take part to test of prototypes in the Test Area

Who you are

  • Self-driven and able to lead self and others.
  • Analytical, Structured and Proactive
  • Problem solver with good ability to quickly find the root of the problem.
  • Scrupulous with high integrity
  • Good communicator in speech and writing.

What you know

  • Degree from higher technical education or equivalent
  • Experience in risk assessment and product certification.
  • Vast knowledge in rules and standards preferably in marine rules.
  • Fluency in Italian and English (verbal and written)
