Job Description

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team and support an important customer operating in the Automotive sector. The candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

  1. Definition and planning of Energy / Hydrogen consumption and Longitudinal performances activities on S-Way range, simulation of it, with comparison to test results, accurately planned with Product Validation.
  2. Execution of the above-defined simulations.
  3. Simulations shall be conducted with VECTO for the Energy / Hydrogen consumption and range homologation and with the internal virtual analysis environment.
  4. Continuous update of the engine/driveline layout and matrix for S-/X-Way xEV range, for Energy / Hydrogen consumption and Longitudinal performances during the project.
  5. Target deployment and first evaluations on Next Generation future projects.
  6. Update of impact calculation with potential Energy / Hydrogen consumption reduction measures.
  7. Post processing data from test bench, proving ground, and simulation reports.
  8. Realization of accurate and/or synthetical documentation of the work done in all areas (forecasting energy/fuel consumption and autonomy via simulation, correlation with tests, and results from tests required).
  9. Develop and implement methodologies for accurate Energy / Hydrogen consumption evaluation.

Qualifications

  1. 2-3 years of experience in a virtual validation and performance role.
  2. Good experience in VECTO tool for Energy / Hydrogen consumption and range simulations.
  3. Knowledge in engine, gearbox, axle, and complete driveline layout, definition, and specification.
  4. Knowledge in aerodynamics (Air Drag Test), tire technology, and ADAS functions.
  5. Knowledge of INCA/CANalyzer or other similar tools for logging vehicle data.
  6. Experience in Road/Benches Tests as an eventual plus.
  7. Fluent English knowledge.
