Job Description Summary

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the customer’s equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions Include:

  • Total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
  • Interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication.
  • Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated.
  • Identify sales opportunities and communicate them to the account team in the geographic area.
  • Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost-effective service to the assigned area.
  • Complete all administrative tasks on time.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned FMIs and PMs.
  • Assist less experienced Junior Field Services Engineers with advanced troubleshooting and technical fixes.
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders and interlocutors.
  • Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standards, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement.

Quality Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within defined deadlines.
  • Identify and report immediately any customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, IT Engineering, or similar field, or a high specialization technical diploma with relevant field experience.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a specific modality or multi-modalities, with extensive knowledge and experience of X-Ray and/or MR machineries in particular.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical issues clearly.
  • Expert in customer interaction, driving positive relationships, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Based in Campania or able to relocate.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
