Incumbent performs a variety of Item Manager, Stock Control Manager, and Distribution Management duties for Supply Support. Provides analytical expertise to resolve deviations from normal supply transactions, and conducts extensive research to resolve problems occurring from clerical, program/information system, and other errors. Must be able to handle sensitive items (to include weapons), and to ensure proper care, storage, and transport of hazardous materials.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
For the GS-07, specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service performing a variety of Item Manager, Contract Administrator, Stock Control Manager and Distribution Management duties on controlled cryptographic items (CCI), sensitive items (to include weapons), resolving deviations from normal supply transactions, and conducting extensive research to resolve problems occurring from clerical, program/information system, and other errors, ensuring proper care, storage, and transport of hazardous materials. This is the definition of specialized experience typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level (GS-06).
Competency Evaluation:You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
- Forecasting and Demand Planning
- Inventory Management
- Supply Planning
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). NOTE: one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level may be creditable for in-service applicants.
