Hospitalist - Physician

St Elizabeth Physicians is seeking a MD, DO, with completion of advanced graduate medical education in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with board eligibility or board certification in their respective field to be part of our expanding hospital medicine team We currently provide 24/7 care to approximately 500+ acutely ill patients in the inpatient hospital setting across 4 hospitals and are looking for a physician with a commitment to compassionate patient-centered care to join our team. A requested 2025 start -- other timeline inquiries welcomed.

The Hospitalist, in collaboration and consultation with an interdisciplinary team, will manage the care of patients hospitalized with complex acute health problems and facilitate continuum of care from admission through the discharge process.

Responsibilities include:

1. Initial assessment, follow-up evaluation and management, and discharge preparation of hospitalists’ patients.
2. Obtaining pertinent medical/non-medical history.
3. Performing physical exams.
4. Ordering and interpreting various diagnostic tests.
5. Ordering pharmacological therapies.
6. Consulting and collaborating with a diverse complement of specialists.
7. Executing complex medical decision making.
8. Communicating with patient families.
9. Coordinating discharge.

Procedural skills not required, but if able, may be utilized in providing house doctor coverage as well.
