Roles and Responsibilities of a Video Editor
1. Video Production and Editing
  • Video Editing: Edit raw footage of properties client testimonials virtual tours and promotional videos to create polished highquality content.
  • Footage Review: Review and organize video footage selecting the best shots and sequences to align with the project objectives.
  • Enhancements: Apply enhancements such as color correction sound design and visual effects to improve video quality and appeal.
2. Content Creation
  • Property Showcases: Create engaging videos that highlight key features of properties including interiors exteriors and unique selling points.
  • Virtual Tours: Develop virtual tour videos that allow potential buyers to explore properties remotely.
  • Promotional Videos: Produce promotional videos for real estate agencies highlighting their services success stories and brand identity.
3. Collaboration and Coordination
  • Collaborate with Agents: Work closely with real estate agents photographers and other team members to understand the vision and requirements for each video project.
  • Feedback Integration: Incorporate feedback from clients agents and stakeholders to refine and finalize video content.
4. Storytelling and Script Development
  • Script Creation: Develop or assist in creating scripts and storyboards for real estate videos to ensure clear and compelling narratives.
  • Narrative Building: Craft engaging stories through video editing that effectively showcase properties and engage viewers.
5. Video Optimization
  • Format and Compression: Ensure videos are properly formatted and compressed for various platforms including websites social media and video hosting sites.
  • SEO: Apply basic SEO practices such as optimizing video titles descriptions and tags to enhance discoverability on platforms like YouTube.
6. Asset Management
  • Organize Footage: Maintain an organized library of video footage graphics and audio assets for easy retrieval and future use.
  • Backup and Storage: Manage video files and backups to ensure data integrity and availability.
7. Quality Control
  • Proofing and Testing: Conduct thorough proofing and testing of videos to ensure they meet quality standards and function correctly on all intended platforms.
  • Error Correction: Identify and correct any issues or errors in video content before final delivery.
8. Technical Skills and Tools
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve to edit and produce videos.
  • Graphics and Animation: Create or integrate graphics animations and lower thirds as needed to enhance video content.
9. Trends and Best Practices
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest video editing trends techniques and technologies to incorporate modern and effective practices into video content.
  • Platform Best Practices: Understand and apply best practices for video content on different platforms including social media websites and real estate listing services.
10. Communication and Reporting
  • Project Updates: Provide regular updates on the status of video projects to relevant team members and stakeholders.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather requirements provide updates and ensure satisfaction with the final video products.
11. Training and Development
  • Skill Enhancement: Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement in video editing and real estate marketing.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree: A degree in Film Production Video Production Multimedia Arts Communications or a related field is often preferred.
  • Relevant Certifications: Certifications or courses in video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro) or digital media can enhance qualifications will be preferred.
  • Experience in Video Editing: Proven experience (usually 25 years) in video editing ideally with a portfolio showcasing a range of edited video projects.
  • Real Estate Industry Experience: Familiarity with the real estate industry and its specific needs for video content will be preferred.
  • Video Editing Software: Proficiency in industrystandard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro DaVinci Resolve or similar tools.
  • Motion Graphics and Animation: Basic skills in creating or integrating motion graphics titles and animations using software like Adobe After Effects.
  • Color Correction and Grading: Knowledge of color correction and grading techniques to enhance video quality and visual appeal.
  • Audio Editing: Ability to edit and mix audio tracks including background music and voiceovers to ensure highquality sound in videos.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating compelling content engaging with stakeholders and collaborating with team members.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously meet deadlines and coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing trends and technologies in the digital marketing landscape and adjust strategies accordingly.

Please note that this is an individual contributor role. You will be reporting directly to the AVP of brand and marketing.
CompensationThe CTC range for this role is 46 LPA. Your CTC will be based on your years of experience and your interview performance.
