Would you like to join the leading international intergovernmental organization?The Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) is an established, world-class scientific research and experimentation facility that organizes and conducts scientific research and technology development centred on the maritime domain. It delivers innovative and field-tested science and technology (S&T) solutions to address defence and security needs of the Alliance.Responsibilities:Design research, service design, or strategic design roles with deep expertise in qualitative methodologies and design thinking frameworks.Lead comprehensive user research to uncover needs, behaviours, and pain points across diverse stakeholder groupsFacilitate workshops and design sessions to build cross-functional alignment and drive consensusGuide teams to concrete product decisions through structured design thinkingDesign intuitive, accessible interfaces by translating research insights into wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready visual designsCollaborate cross-functionally to iterate and implement designs by working with Engineering to ensure feasibility and rapidly refining solutions based on feedbackSynthesize findings into actionable design principles, user stories, and prioritized requirementsDefine and own the product vision, translating insights into a coherent strategy that guides developmentEssential Qualifications & Experience:A minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in an information systems, physics or electronics related scientific or engineering disciplineA minimum of 3 years of experience in design research, service design, or strategic design roles with deep expertise in qualitative methodologies and design thinking frameworks.Strong facilitation and storytelling skills to align diverse stakeholders and senior leadershipDeep expertise in relevant discipline methodologies and best practicesProfessional experience working effectively in cross-functional agile teamsVery good level of spoken and written EnglishIf you've read the description and feel this role is a great match, we'd love to hear from you Click "Apply for this job" to be directed to a brief questionnaire.
