Since 2014, G-nous has been a trusted partner of the ESA Industrial Return team. This specific role is embedded within our dedicated service team, focusing on the core pillars of industrial policy, strategic advisory and robust business operations.

Role Purpose
We are looking for a

Data Analytics Business Consultant

who combines a

strong business orientation

with a

"hands-on" operational drive . This is a high-responsibility position for a professional who wants to be involved

across the ESA service activities : from granular data management to high-level industrial policy analysis.

This position offers a unique opportunity to become a

niche expert in ESA industrial policy

and

geo-return implementation . You will work at the

intersection

of

strategy and execution , securing the knowledge transfer from G-nous top management, while working closely with ESA officers within a

high-level international network .

Core Responsibilities

Analytical & strategic support : analyze complex datasets and institutional information, translating quantitative output into clear, actionable insights to support decision-making for ESA stakeholders.

Hands-on data processing:

ensure integrity and workflow efficiency through a direct, hands-on approach to information systems.

Workflow optimization : participate in mapping, evaluating, and documenting operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and contribute to process improvement.

Deliverable preparation : produce consulting-grade presentations and analytical reports, distilling complex data into clear and structured narratives

Knowledge formalization : structure and maintain internal documentation, operational rules, and procedural guides to ensure effective knowledge sharing within the team.

Quality assurance & verification : perform rigorous technical checks and verification routines to ensure every analysis is technically flawless and strategically aligned with client objectives, bridging the gap between micro-operations and macro-policy.

Required Profile

Master’s degree in

Engineering

or related fields.

Advanced proficiency in Excel

(data modeling, complex logic) and direct familiarity with managing data flows within

IT Information Systems

(ERPs, databases).

4+ years

in consulting, business process mapping, data analysis, or ERP implementation projects.

Ability to translate analytical findings into executive storytelling

and engage confidently with top-level stakeholders, framing operational results within a broader business context.

Practical "Thinker-Doer" mindset ,combining strong numerical logic and process mapping skills with a natural focus on detail and high memory retention

High level of

autonomy , strong sense of

accountability

and

ownership

for deliverables, and eagerness to take on

increasing strategic responsibility over time .

The work is primarily conducted in

English , requiring full professional fluency to draft complex documents and lead international meetings. An advanced or native-level proficiency in

Italian

is also essential.

Compensation
Indicative target compensation (base salary + MBO + benefits) : €30,000 – €50,000

Place of work
The role is based in

Bari

(Italy), with the possibility of remote work to be evaluated. It includes missions to

ESA establishments , primarily at HQ in

Paris

and ESTEC in

Noordwijk .
