Working with Alstom means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company of more than 70,000 people worldwide.Job Title : Track Survey Engineer (Track Survey Manager)Reporting : The Survey Engineer/Manager reports directly to the Project Manager, Trackworks Sub‑System Manager, Project Installation Manager, or OPC Manager and works closely with Project Quality/HSE managers and construction team leaders.Mission & PurposeOn‑site survey management, including resource organization and mobilization.Check and control civil data during field operations handover phases (buildings, engineering structures, railway platforms, waysides, foundations, etc.).Set out topographic markings for infrastructure, signalling, telecom, and other equipment before construction activities.Coordinate with construction teams for final equipment adjustment, especially during concreting.Prepare track and civil works as‑built settings for final handover.Main ResponsibilitiesEnable survey works achievement with optimal performance, cost, quality, and HSE conditions.Ensure all upstream activities are completed and equipment installed in conformity with civil data, handover requirements, QA/QC systems, contractual and local regulations, and the schedule.Define the Survey Management Plan and all Method Statements, ensuring compliance with survey procedures and the final adjustment of equipment prior to concreting.Coordinate technical aspects (track alignment data, OCS foundations, etc.) with engineering teams and define Survey Specifications.Participate in core team meetings and report weekly/monthly on progress and QCD KPI.Help prepare, run, and report the project schedule.Ensure permits of work, site access, and contractor interfaces are secured on time.Coordinate with Customers and Authorities for site execution approvals.Define and manage necessary resources (human and material), maintain survey equipment, and ensure team training and skill development.Control subcontractor performance, interface with the Region Sourcing Manager on contractual issues, and manage civil contractor coordination.Validate and comply with polygonal data from civil contractors and raise any claim issues.Install permanent survey monuments and ensure a clean gauge before handover.Update and deliver as‑built data at project completion.Manage the budget and implement onsite quality and HSE plans.DeliverablesWeekly progress report and 3‑week schedule.Installation ITP (Inspection & Test Plan) linked to subcontractor follow‑up.Monthly cost‑time schedule including sales valorisation.Work Method Statements for survey activities with QC inspection templates.Weekly quality report based on NCR analysis and QC reports.Weekly hourly report of the survey team.Maintenance and certification follow‑up for equipment and tools.Project‑wide control networks (Primary every km, Secondary every 200 m, Tertiary ~80 m).Handover documentation to Installation‑Construction‑T&C manager/leader.Performance MeasurementsWeekly works progress and report control.Client complaint handling (non‑conformity forms).Cost controls (QC, Cost of Non‑Quality).HSE indicators.Required Competencies & QualificationsEducational Requirements :Mandatory: Survey technologist, college or above civil related graduate who attended a survey course.Desirable: Railway safety certification, site EHS management certification.Experience :Mandatory: Minimum 3 years of survey work or qualification as a first‑grade survey technician.Desirable: Railway track‑laying projects, civil works projects (buildings, waysides).Perfect knowledge of survey methodologies, tools and software (Total Station, Onboard Software) and railway constraints.Good understanding of infrastructure and signalling subsystems, civil work design and handover requirements.Leadership, initiative, and decision‑making skills.Team spirit, good communication, and mobility.Equal Opportunity Statement Alstom is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive working environment where all employees are encouraged to reach their full potential, and individual differences are valued and respected.
