Site Supervisor Senior Technician (m/f/d)

Position Summary:

Coperion is looking for a Site Supervisor Senior Technician to join our Field Service Team in Ferrara, Italy. As Site Supervisor Senior Technician, you will be responsible for visiting customers in the field to manage the process of installation and commissioning/testing of new systems and machines, supervising sub-contractors and staff, training customers, and managing claims on site.

In addition, you will carry out after-sales service operations (inspection, maintenance, calibration, etc.) at customers' premises. When not traveling, the Site Supervisor Senior Technician will perform various service tasks including, but not limited to: completing post-visit documentation including trip reports and expense reports, promoting jobs case-review with the Engineering local team to prevent future troubleshooting.

Work You’ll Do:

  • Gather all the technical information and documentation needed to manage site activities.
  • Plan and coordinate all site requirements (resources, materials, equipment, utilities, etc.), participating in periodic planning and coordination meetings with the customer.
  • Check the quality of the work carried out by subcontractors.
  • Verify the completeness of the installation and take responsibility for the subsequent testing and acceptance phase.
  • Participate in the I/O check phase or perform the no-load functional test of all equipment.
  • Check sequences in relation to the functional description and interface with the software engineer for necessary software changes.
  • Fill out the work acceptance form and submit it to the customer for signature.
  • Document hours worked on site and submit periodic reports to the client for approval.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma in technical disciplines (mechanical or mechatronics technician).
  • Some years of professional experience in a similar position and business area.
  • Work experience in on-site construction, installation, and commissioning.
  • Good knowledge in MS Office and MS Project.
  • Skills in negotiation and stress management.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Willingness to travel worldwide.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of a third language is a plus.
  • Experience working in a safety-driven environment (Health & Safety training certifications such as SCC certificate are appreciated).
  • Good standing, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
