Note for Recruitment Agencies:We prefer to hire directly and we will be in touch with our PSL Agencies if this role is eligible for release.Cumming Management Group, a Cost and Project Management Consultancy within the construction industry, provides a wide range of services to clients spanning several different sectors.About the Role: As part of our ongoing growth in the Italian Project & Cost Management team, Cumming Group is seeking a forward-thinking Senior Quantity Surveyor in Milan with expertise in the hotel and hospitality sectors. You will play a key role in expanding our Italian portfolio, with a particular focus on the refurbishment and repositioning of existing hotels and the development new build hotel properties. We are interested in candidates who are passionate about the hospitality industry, have an entrepreneurial mindset, and possess a strong track record of project delivery.The role of a Senior Quantity Surveyor Includes the following responsibilities: Provide cost management services through pre and post contract processTo support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstancesTo carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and proceduresTake personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality StandardsAssist and drive forward the preparation of cost plans; including measurementSupport with Value engineering studies and analysisWork with senior members of staff to gather market testing data of key elements for the developmentsSupport and assist the data analysis on design efficiencies, benchmark comparisonPrepare and assist with the preparing and issuing tender documents, evaluations, contract documentations and reportsPrepare and assist with the scrutinising and verifying applications for interim paymentsPrepare and assist with the management of change control in accordance with contractsPrepare and assist with the production of cost reports and cost forecastingAdvising and liaising with internal project and cost control teamKey Attributes: Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or similar technical disciplineWorking towards Chartered statusIdeally a minimum of 5+ years’ experience of working in the Hospitality industryA team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitiousLikeable and warm personality which will fit in and become an integral part of the teamA track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlinesHospitality or real estate backgroundCumming Europe Ltd provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, colour, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
