What We Are Looking ForReporting to the CEO/Board, and coordinating closely with the GM Hotels and GM Trains, the HR Director – Hospitality will define and lead the Group-level HR strategy for the entire luxury Hospitality division, spanning both hotel properties and premium rail operations.
The role carries full strategic and operational responsibility for the HR function, overseeing an HR team structured across multiple locations and business units, and will act as the primary point of reference on all people-related matters, attracting, developing and retaining talent, building a distinctive company culture consistent with the brand's luxury positioning, and aligning HR policies with strategic business objectives.
Key Activities- Define the Group HR strategy for the entire Hospitality division (hotels and trains), aligned with business objectives and the luxury positioning
- Lead, develop and mentor the HR team (HR Business Partners, Talent & Culture Manager, Recruiting, L&D, C&B), ensuring consistency of approach across business units
- Sit on the Executive Committee as the primary point of reference on all people-related matters
- Define the employer branding strategy to position the company as an employer of choice in the luxury hospitality segment
- Oversee talent acquisition for corporate profiles, hôtellerie roles (front/back of house, F&B, guest relations) and onboard/train personnel, including senior and highly specialised profiles
- Develop dedicated talent pipelines for the luxury sector (hospitality schools, management programmes, international partnerships)
- Build and safeguard a distinctive company culture, consistent with brand values and the standard of service excellence demanded by luxury clientele
- Design and monitor employee experience and engagement programmes, with particular focus on guest-facing personnel
- Lead Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and organisational well-being programmes across multiple sites
- Define the Group's learning and development architecture, including luxury service excellence pathways, leadership development and technical certification programmes
- Develop career paths and cross-business growth opportunities (mobility between hotels and trains)
- Oversee partnerships with training providers and leading hospitality institutes, nationally and internationally
- Define and govern the annual HR cycle: MBOs, performance evaluation, salary review and total reward systems across the division
- Define competitive compensation & benefits policies consistent with luxury industry standards
- Oversee succession planning processes for key corporate and operational roles
- Define strategic HR KPIs and provide periodic reporting to the CEO and Board
- Ensure full compliance with Italian labour law, the CCNL Turismo and applicable sector regulations
- Structure Group-wide policies, procedures and internal regulations, ensuring consistent application across hotels and trains
- Manage industrial relations and engagement with trade union representatives at Group level
- Oversee the use of psychometric and assessment tools (e.g. SHL) for selection, development and potential evaluation
- Lead the design of Assessment Centres and Development Centres for key roles and talent pipeline programmes
