Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake and manage the day to day operations in respect of the following key areas:
  2. Delivering projects in accordance with agreed time schedules at various stages including feasibility/planning/preparation of tender stage technical drawings, specifications, and production of construction drawings and design compliance monitoring at construction stage for Power Plant Stations and HV-MV Substations;
  3. Coordination with client project team and internal team disciplines within Mott MacDonald Group including Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Control and Environmental;
  4. Producing Engineering reports, drawings, and calculations;
  5. Enhancing our business development and delivering projects in new technologies including renewable energy;
  6. Coordinate the delivery of the project tasks and deliverables within tight deadlines and multidisciplinary environment;
  7. Perform thorough and conscientious checking of own and others work;
  8. Support project planning;
  9. Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards;
  10. Undertake own continuing professional development;
  11. Protection Concepts and Industrial design and protection of HV/MV/LV Systems;
  12. Potentially travel abroad to offices and/or sites.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Master Degree in electrical engineering with experience particularly for thermal power plant and/or HV electrical systems;
  2. Fluent written and verbal English;
  3. Competent with MS Office suite programs;
  4. Ability to work on own initiative on technical matters and manage their own time and that of others;
  5. Have the willingness to mentor junior engineers;
  6. Attend project design meetings and site visits;
  7. Good knowledge of the following software packages is preferred: Office, Autocad, ETAP or Digsilent.
