📍 Resident Engineer (Cyber Security) – Italy (Rome, Onsite)Iperium is supporting a global leader in cybersecurity as they expand their Resident Engineering function in Italy. This is an onsite role working directly with enterprise customers, helping them strengthen their security posture, respond to threats in real time, and maximise the value of an industry-leading detection and response platform.If you’re passionate about defending organisations against modern cyber threats and enjoy being hands-on with customers, this is a fantastic opportunity.🔍 What you’ll be doing:Acting as the onsite cybersecurity expert for major enterprise clientsConducting security assessments, audits, and vulnerability analysisSupporting incident response and guiding customers through threat investigationsLeveraging advanced threat intelligence to identify risks and improve defencesAdvising senior stakeholders on best practices and security strategyProviding hands-on support across on-prem and cloud environmentsEnhancing the customer’s security posture through continuous improvement🛠 What we’re looking for:Strong grounding in IT and networking systemsExperience with security assessments, audits, and vulnerability managementSolid understanding of incident response methodologiesWorking knowledge of threat intelligence and common attack vectorsFamiliarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security and other core security techPrior customer-facing or consultancy/outsourcing experienceBonus: scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)Cloud security knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP or hybrid)Strong communication, conflict management, and presentation skills🎓 Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field (preferred)Relevant certifications valued: CISSP, CEH, Security+, etc.Prior experience in IT, networking, or cybersecurity roles
