Title: ESL Teacher / Adult Literacy InstructorEngagement: Hourly contract (independent contractor)Rate: USD 59-91/hourJob SummaryWe are seeking experienced Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, or English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructors to contribute subject matter expertise to AI training initiatives. In this fully remote contract role, you will apply your instructional knowledge to help develop and refine AI systems designed to better understand adult learners, diverse educational pathways, and inclusive teaching practices.
Your real-world classroom experience will play a critical role in shaping AI tools that support literacy development, high school equivalency preparation, workforce readiness, and English language acquisition.

Key Responsibilities
Review and evaluate simulated student work to support AI training and model refinementProvide expert feedback on lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment strategiesAnalyze AI-generated educational content for pedagogical accuracy, inclusivity, and learner appropriatenessContribute authentic adult learning scenarios, including differentiated instruction strategiesAssist in developing and refining datasets that reflect real-world classroom challengesDocument insights clearly in written reports and structured annotationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AI understanding of adult education frameworksPromote inclusive and culturally responsive teaching principles within AI training materialsRequired Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Education, TESOL, Adult Education, or a related fieldDemonstrated experience teaching ABE, ASE, and/or ESL in adult learning environmentsStrong understanding of adult learning theory and differentiated instructionExperience conducting student assessments and adapting instruction accordinglyExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently in a remote, collaborative settingCommitment to inclusive and student-centered educational practicesPreferred QualificationsExperience in instructional design or curriculum development for adult learnersFamiliarity with educational technology platforms and digital learning toolsBasic understanding of AI, machine learning, or AI literacy conceptsAdvanced degree or relevant certifications (TESOL, CELTA, Adult Education credentials) #J-18808-Ljbffr
