The ideal candidate will have over a decade of experience in big data technologies and solid programming skills in Java Scala PySpark and Spark. This role is crucial in designing and implementing robust scalable data architectures that support the clients data initiatives and business goals.Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement largescale data processing systems using Big Data technologies.
  • Architect build and maintain scalable data pipelines to support various data analytics and machine learning applications.
  • Collaborate with data scientists analysts and other stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Develop and optimize complex ETL processes to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Implement best practices for data governance security and compliance.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to improve data processing and analytics capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in big data applications and infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to data architecture and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in Big Data architecture and implementation.
  • Solid programming experience in Java Scala and PySpark.
  • Extensive experience with Apache Spark and other Big Data frameworks.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and their big data services.
  • Familiarity with data governance security and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with additional big data tools and technologies (e.g. Hadoop Kafka Flink).
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries.
  • Certification in Big Data technologies or cloud platforms.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
