Position: Java Microservices Developer with strong AWS Experience

Location: Minneapolis MN 55111 (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Interview: Video

MUST HAVE:

5 or more years of handson experience as a Software Engineer or related technical engineering capacity. Relevant technologies and programming languages include JAVA Spring Boot IBM MQ Oracle Database table design queries and optimization Angular

Job Description:

Solid grasp of Agile Methodologies. Demonstrable experience with DevOps principles practices and tools. Experience engineering software within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure or other prominent enterprise cloud provider. Understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle building CI/CD pipelines and practicing Test Driven Development is a requirement. Fundamental Awareness of Application Security principles and 12factor application development principles is required. Experience with source control build tools and GIT (GitHub Bitbucket or other) is required. High School diploma GED or High School Equivalency. Preferred qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related technical field. Experience working in an airline technology environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop business application data and infrastructure solutions seek opportunities to optimize performance maintain and troubleshoot application components as required.
  • Design and develop with consideration for NonFunctional Requirements (Scalability Reliability Availability Observability Fault Tolerance)
  • Ensure that the Delta methodology standards and procedures are adopted and implemented
  • Design solutions to meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Write frontend and backend code following the TDD (Test Driven Development) practice.
  • Develop delivery pipelines and automated deployment scripts.
  • Configure services such as databases and monitoring.
  • Fix problems from the development phase through the production phase which requires being on call for production support.
  • Designing prototyping and demonstrating new features and components of frontend and backend to users to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Assisting in the design implementation and optimization of related approaches tools and workflows.
  • Collaborate with the technical teams business teams and product managers to ensure that the code that is developed meets their vision.
  • Align to Security/Compliance frameworks and controls requirements.
